Laxmi Deleo

As a Yoga teacher and Holistic Health Practitioner, I am dedicated to the well being of all of my students and clients.  In my Yoga classes, I bring a unique blend of humor and spirituality into my classes whether private or public.  I have almost 20 years of teaching experience and I like to create a safe and nurturing environment for practitioners of all levels.  Beginners, advanced, and everyone in between, are welcome to my group classes. I navigate the Yoga room to make sure to give individual attention to those who are in need of adjustments and facilitate the most beneficial and joyful practice.

I attended The International Professional School of Bodywork in 1994 and studied several modalities of therapeutic healing and massage.  I became licensed in Massage Therapy the same year.  While working as a Massage Therapist, I continued my education in 1997 at The School of Healing Arts and became a Holistic Health Practitioner in 2004.  During my years at SoHA, I became deeply rooted in the practice of Hatha Yoga.  There, I met a teacher who inspired me to take the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers’ teacher training in 2000.  I was also certified in Ashtanga Yoga with Tim Miller in 2001 and had a brief stint as an Ashtanga Yogini.  Although I love both of these styles, Vinyasa is the style I teach and prefer to practice.  If you are interested in a dynamic and varied practice that builds strength and endurance, then this is the style for you too!

My massage practice is also very diverse.  I have had hundreds of hours of training.  Because of my massage training I have an extensive knowledge of anatomy.  This is a great compliment to my Yoga instruction. It is truly my honor to serve my clients to the best of my ability and to elicit the best from our sessions together.
